In the horror of 1944 Auschwitz Saul Auslander, a Hungarian prisoner working as a member of the Sonderkommando at the crematorium finds a boy who he takes for his illegitimate son. He tries to carry out an impossible deed; salvage the body and find a Rabbi to bury it. All around him hell on earth and many of his fellow workers planning an uprising against their captors, he has to try and keep the body safe until he can find a Rabbi.
This a unique, hard-hitting movie experience, not to be taken lightly as an audience member.
