IMDb rating – 7.3/10
Director – Lasse Hallstrom
Actors – Helen Mirren, Om Puri, Manish Dayal, Charlotte Le Bon

Clash of cultures and clash of French & Indian cuisines are the basis of the adaptation of Richard C Morains best selling novel.
The story follows a Mumbai family of restaurant owners burned out of their premises during a political uprising journey to France led by stubborn Papa (Om Puri) and finding a place to start again. One big problem the building directly opposite (One Hundred Feet) away is a Michelin star establishment run by Madame Mallory (Helen Mirren).  Let battle commence and both sides play dirty. A well tested story but you will care about the characters and will wish you could taste the food for yourself.
Enjoyable if predictable story just sit back and enjoy.
