“Dabbawalas” - Box Carriers 4500 to 5000 dabbawalas deliver between 175,000 to 200,000 lunches everyday to workers. These are collected from homes and restaurants and returned at the end of the day.  Less than 1 mistake in 6 million deliveries are said to occur.  Filmed in Mumbai in 2012 genuine lunch boxes were used and the dabbawalas, were followed by a film crew of 4 which filmed the process documentary style.

Ila is a young wife seeking her husband's attention trying to put the romance back into the failing relationship , she cooks him a special lunch to be delivered to his work. Saajan is a lonely accountant about to retire from his job.A rare mix up occurs and Ila's lunch box is delivered to Saajan who is surprised as he gets  cheap poor food from a café.  When her husband does not respond the next day she puts lots of salt in the lunch.  Saajan responds by writing a note of complaint, eventually she realises her lunch box is going astray but she continues to provide delicious food and notes are passed between them forming a strange relationship.

The question is are they ever going to meet ?
A very different look at romance Indian style and an interesting look at Mumbai culture.
