After 20 years abroad, Mark Renton (Ewan McGregor) returns to Scotland and reunites with his old friend Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewen Bremner) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle). Much has changed but much remains the same, as Renton tries to renew relationships, with mixed results, psychotically intense Begbie is in jail and planning to escape with revenge in mind.
An emotional, funny, moving return complete with a full set of swear words!
Trivia:- Robert Carlyle kept away from his family in Glasgow while filming because he became so much like Begbie.
