Director - Spike Lee
Cast - John David Washington, Adam Driver, Laura Harrier

Based on the true story of Ron Stallworth (Washington) an African-American Police Officer in Colorado Springs in the 1970’s who successfully manages to infiltrate the local Klu Klux Klan branch with the help of a fellow (Jewish) officer who eventually becomes its leader. The police force is racist and Ron is their first African American Officer whom they consign to a dead end job in records. He sees an advert inviting people to join the KKK branch and having a white sounding telephone voice he succeeds in doing so. For meetings in person he persuades fellow officer Flip Zimmerman (who being Jewish belongs to another ethnic group targeted by the KKK) to stand in for him.
The Director Spike Lee manages to inject a fair amount of humour into a serious subject. An interesting and engaging Film.
Note: Ron Stallworth wanted Denzil Washington to play him but in the end was ecstatic that Denzil’s son got the job.
